"Why is there a need for reconciliation?" An examination of the Parable of the Prodigal, Luke 15.

This is a presentation I prepared for a Lutherans Concerned/Los Angeles conference in 2002 that probes the fundamental issues of the Reconciling in Christ program which go beyond mere "welcome."  We find in the famous parable the full structure of the ministry of the church:  welcome, acceptance, hospitality and reconciliation.
